The Yokosuka Co-Op Preschool is a private, non-profit, non-discriminatory organization supported
entirely by tuition, donations and fundraising.  In accordance with the Constitution and By-Laws,
the Executive Board manages the Yokosuka Co-Op Preschool under the jurisdiction of  
Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka.  The Yokosuka Co-Op Preschool maintains a racially
nondiscriminatory policy as to students, faculty and staff and does not discriminate against

The Yokosuka Co-Op Preschool endeavors to offer the highest quality early childhood care and
educational programs to military-connected children between the ages of three and five on the
Yokosuka Naval Base.  As a cooperative preschool, the Yokosuka Co-Op Preschool actualizes this
mission through the active involvement of all of its families and through the employment of skilled
early childhood educators and administrators.
CURRICULUM SPECIALIST
Ideal candidates should possess a BA in early childhood education, child development, or a related
discipline and have professional experience in training, teaching, and/or classroom management.  

TEACHER
Ideal candidates should possess an educational background in early childhood education, child
development, or a related discipline and have professional experience in teaching or classroom
management.  This position requires the ability to create and implement lesson plans, prepare
student portfolios, assess student progress, and routinely communicate with the classroom
families verbally and in writing.

TEACHER ASSISTANT
Ideal candidates should possess an educational background in early childhood education, child
development, or a related discipline and have professional experience in a classroom setting.  This
position requires the ability to assist the Teacher in all facets of planning and implementing the
learning goals and objectives.
